WT History

• March 1995 Xiamen Weida Elevator Co., Ltd. ("Xiamen Weida"), a China-Hong Kong joint venture, was established in Xiamen, a special economic region in PRC China.
  
  
• March 1997 Under the leadership of Whole Safe Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong, Xiamen Weida and a famous Taiwan lift manufacturing company has jointly developed KP-ECVF passenger lifts of speed 1.75m/s with loading capacity of 1000kg. The first sets of KP-ECVF passenger lifts were installed at Shenzhen Tai Ding Garden of 32 floors (total of 8 lifts) and Xiamen Commercial Building of 26 floors (total of 3 lifts).
  
  
• June 1998 Fujian Bureau of Quality and Technological Supervision issued manufacturing permit to Xiamen Weida after detailed inspection.
  
  
• November 1998 Xiamen Weida introduced its self-developed WT brand VF passenger lifts to the market. The first sets of VF 2000 passenger lifts of 1m/s with loading capacity of 1000kg were installed at Zhong Qiao Garden in April 1999 after passing the inspection test of Xiamen Bureau of Quality and Technological Supervision.
  
  
• March 1999 Xiamen Weida - Quanzhou branch was established. In May 1999, Xiamen Weida was engaged in modernization work of two passenger lifts located at Quanzhou Inspection Office Tower by using our self-developed VF 2000 control system. Soon after, we also installed VF 2000 passenger lifts to Quanzhou Century Dynasty Commercial Centre and Shishi City Commercial Building due to the good reputation we had from users.
  
  
• August 1999 Schindler Weida (Fuzhou) Elevator Co., Ltd., a member of Xiamen Weida, was established. In December 1999, nine VF2000 passenger lifts were installed at Orient Pearl, a high-class commercial and residential building in Fuzhou.
  
  
• November 1999 The first time the VF2000 passenger lifts were sold outside Fujian province. The lifts were installed at Hong Yuan Hotel in Liao Ling province Ying Kou economic and technological development region.
  
  
• December 1999 Xiamen Department of Construction inspected and awarded Xiamen Weida with type one lift company certificate.
  
  
• April 2000 Five VF2000 passenger lifts of 1.75m/s with loading capacity of 1000kg were installed at Xiamen Wan Bo (total of 27 floors) after passing the quality and safety inspection test of Xiamen Bureau of Technological Supervision as well as the Department of Construction.
  
  
• October 2000 2.6m-car interior decoration work was done at Central VIP Commercial Building in Xiamen. The use of mirror stainless steel and elegant marble, the spectacular design and the high-level technology has highly impressed the users as well as visitors to the building.
  
  
• December 2000 We developed passenger lifts of speed 25m/s (an improved version of VF2000). It contains 32 microprocessor control, group control, intercom system, real-time surveillance interface etc.
  
  
• December 2000 National Bureau of Quality and Technological Supervision inspected and awarded Xiamen Weida with lift manufacturing permit.
  
  
• January 2001 WT brand lifts and escalators were officially lodged and publicized to the market through Weida Shenzhen (a wholly owned subsidiary of Whole Safe Ltd. in Hong Kong), Weida Shenzhen - Dongguan branch and Guangzhou Weida Elevator Co., Ltd.
  
  
• March 2001 Under the technological support of Swiss Beringer Hydraulik Co., Ltd., the first WT hydraulic lift was developed and installed at Tung Fong Hung Medicine Factory, after passing the inspection test of Guangdong Bureau of Technological Supervision.
  
  
• July 2001 Passed the test of NSF ISO 9001 of the United States
  
  
• September 2001 Xiamen government issued creditability to contracts award to Xiamen Weida.
  
  
• November 2001 Microprocessor controlled AC-VVVF passengers/goods lifts were installed at Xiamen Yu Tai Garden. This shows that WT lifts are made to national advance level.
  
  
• November 2001 Four self-designed microprocessor controlled escalators were manufactured. They were installed at Shenzhen Hong Fu Department Store and Dongguan Zhong Hao Building after passing the inspection test of Guangdong Quality and Technological Supervision at national advance level.
  
  
• December 2001 We installed, after the tender was announced, 5 special purpose lifts at ABB factory, a focal project at Xiamen. We tailor-made for ABB, a famous international corporation, lifts of 3 tonnes carrying capacity, 2500mm x 2900mm giant door and magnificent 2500mm x 2300mm x 2900mm-car decoration. These works show that Xiamen Weida is at a leading position in the industry in terms of the capability to design and produce vertical traction lift.
  
  
• July 2002 WT 2100 passenger lifts were installed at Yan An Train Station Office Building. This is the first WT 2100 lift that was installed in the western region.
  
  
• August 2002The first WT 2100 panorama lift was installed at Fuzhou Xian Shi Trendy Centre. This is important as Xiamen Weida now designs and manufactures a full range of high-quality lift products. This includes passenger lift, goods lift, escalator, hydraulic lift and panoramic lift.
  
  
• January 2003 Three WT lifts of 2.5m/s with capacity of 1000kg were installed at Xiamen Jia Hua Building.
